One Complimentary Black Friend

When planning a party, my go-to is to mix things up.

Trust me - inviting one complimentary black friend to add a bit of spice is not an elegant way to achieve this. I’ve found that including a flavorful assortment of people has always guaranteed my most memorable events.

To truly indulge in the benefits of genuine diversity, I ask everyone to bring a plate (and keep my fingers crossed about their cooking skills) so my friends can say they’ve tried food from a different country (they leave the evening with a level up on cultural awareness - score!). I always take suggestions for my playlists too and have enjoyed the musical surprises that follow.
